Our Lip Augmentation Treatments offer several key benefits that make them a popular choice for those looking to enhance their appearance. Here are the primary advantages:
Volume Enhancement: The most immediate benefit of pur treatment is the added volume. It can plump thin lips, providing a fuller, more voluptuous appearance that can be tailored to your desired level of fullness.
Shape and Contour Improvement: Besides adding volume, our treatment can improve the shape and contour of the lips, defining the Cupid's bow and creating a more symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing lip shape. This can also help in balancing the facial features.
Reduced Appearance of Lines: The treament can also help in smoothing out lip lines and wrinkles around the mouth area, contributing to a more youthful appearance. By adding volume, the skin is stretched slightly, reducing the visibility of fine lines.
Hydration: Hyaluronic acid based products, which are the most commonly used type for lip enhancements, have the unique ability to attract and retain water. This not only provides volume but also ensures that the lips stay moisturized and appear naturally glossy.
Customizable Results: The treatment is highly customizable, allowing individuals to choose the extent of enhancement. Whether you're seeking a subtle improvement or a more dramatic change, the procedure can be tailored to meet your specific goals.
Immediate Results with Minimal Downtime: The effects of our lip augmentations are visible almost immediately after the procedure, and the recovery time is minimal. While there may be some swelling and bruising, these side effects typically subside within a few days.
Reversible and Temporary: For those cautious about making permanent changes to their appearance, our lip treaatments offer a temporary solution. The effects last from six months to a year, depending on the type of product used. Additionally, if the results aren't as expected, hyaluronic acid based products can be dissolved with an enzyme, effectively reversing the treatment.
Confidence Boost: For many, the aesthetic improvement from our lip treatmmets can lead to enhanced self-esteem and confidence. This psychological benefit is a significant draw for individuals seeking cosmetic enhancements.
Safety: When administered by a qualified and experienced professional, the treatments are relatively safe. Hyaluronic acid, being a substance naturally found in the body, minimizes the risk of allergic reactions.
In summary, our lip treatments offer a versatile, safe, and effective way to enhance the appearance of the lips, with benefits ranging from increased volume and improved shape to enhanced hydration and confidence. It's a tailored treatment that can significantly impact one's aesthetic appeal and psychological well-being.

Used properly, Lip Augmentation uses medical grade soft tissue replicating products in a discrete way to restore or add volume, hydration, structure and symmetry to your lips.
Lip augmentation can also be used to define your lip line and minimise the lines above and below the lips, which can sometimes be exaggerated when pursing.

Our Lip Treatments contain hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance (sugar molecule) in the skin that stabilises its structure, attracts and binds water, and improves elasticity.
Soft tissue augmentation treatments add volume to the treated area instantly by using this naturally occurring substance.

First, your skin will be cleaned and your desired treatment areas will be assessed. Then, injecting a controlled amount of soft tissue augmentation treatments, your injector will follow the procedure steps as agreed upon in your personalised treatment plan.
Overall, the soft tissue augmentation treatment generally takes around 30 minutes.
Although the needle used is very small, slight bruising and bleeding can occur at the site of the injections. You can choose to have your practitioner apply or inject a local anaesthetic to reduce any discomfort.
The level of pain experienced is really dependent on the individual. The injections themselves feel like a slight pinch. Typically, as the soft tissue augmentation product is being injected, you may experience slight pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation.
It is very important to have a pre-treatment consultation. During this consultation, your registered nurse cosmetic injector will explain the procedure, assess your suitability, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and set realistic expectations.

While complications are extremely rare and we do follow best clinical practices, these procedures are medical and as a result there are potential risks and complications associated with the procedures. These can include:
Allergic reactions: Some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to the filler substance, which can manifest as redness, swelling, itching, or rash at the injection site. Severe allergic reactions are rare.
Infection: Any injection carries a risk of infection. Although it is uncommon, bacterial or viral infections can occur at the injection site, leading to localised swelling, pain, and redness.
Bruising and bleeding: The injection process may cause bruising or bleeding at the treatment site, particularly if blood-thinning medications are being taken. While these side effects are usually temporary, they can take some time to resolve.
Lumps or irregularities: In some cases, dermal fillers may result in the formation of lumps or irregularities under the skin. This can occur if the filler is not injected evenly or if it migrates to an unintended area.
Tissue damage: Rarely, the filler material can damage nearby tissues, such as blood vessels or nerves. This can lead to complications like skin discolouration, scarring, or even tissue necrosis (death of tissue).
Migration or displacement: Dermal fillers have the potential to migrate from the injection site, leading to an uneven distribution of the filler substance.
Granulomas: In some cases, the body may react to the filler material by forming small granulomas, which are inflammatory nodules. These nodules can be visible or palpable and may require additional treatment to resolve.

During your complimentary consultation, your treatment costs will be estimated based on your personalised treatment plan. The primary factor determining the cost of lip augmentation is the amount of augmentation you will require, measured in millilitres.
Several factors can influence your individual treatment plan and the amount of lip augmentation needed, including:
Desired outcome
Your desired outcome will shape the treatment plan and the amount of lip augmentation needed. Whether you want a subtle change or a more significant volume, it will influence the quantity used.
Lip anatomy and size
The natural shape and size of your lips will also be considered. Individuals with thinner lips may require less augmentation to achieve their desired result, while those with naturally fuller lips may need more augmentation for noticeable enhancement.
Individual response
Each person’s lips respond differently to augmentation, and your individual response will be taken into account. Some individuals may require less augmentation to achieve the desired effect, while others may need more.
Maintenance and follow-up treatments will be necessary as lip augmentations typically provide temporary results. The augmentation’s longevity and individual preferences will determine the need for additional treatments.

The level of pain experienced varies from person to person. The injections themselves are typically described as a mild pinching sensation. Whi
le the lip augmentation product is being injected, you may feel slight pressure or a tingling sensation.
To minimise any discomfort, you have the option to apply a topical numbing cream to numb your lips. For first-time lip augmentation treatments, we highly recommend using numbing cream and will offer it as a default.

You will be given some personalised aftercare tips, according to the specific details of your procedure. It will be important to follow these in order to see the best results and prevent complications from arising.
However GENERAL aftercare tips can include the following:
Do not massage the area that has been injected. This will be done at the time of treatment if needed.
If needed, pain medication can be taken to manage discomfort, but please avoid blood thinning anti-inflammatories.
Bruising and/or swelling may make the site look uneven initially. If there is still asymmetry at two weeks, this can be discussed at your review. If additional treatment is required, extra costs may apply.
Avoid physical activity, alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours following treatment.
Do not expose yourself to extreme heat for two weeks.
If you have been treated with soft tissue augmentation treatments in your lips, avoid very hot or cold beverages for 24 hours.
If your cheeks have been treated, avoid sleeping on your side for a few days.
No laser, IPL, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, facials, or facial waxing for two weeks after treatment.
Results from treatment may take up to 14 days to take full effect.
Do NOT lie down for four hours after treatment. This is to avoid the risk of pressure on the treated areas (from your pillow) and avoid the risk of accidentally rubbing the area.
Be assured that any tiny bumps or marks will go away within a few hours. If you need to apply makeup within four hours after your treatment, only use a GENTLE touch to avoid rubbing the treated area.
